A Champion is not someone who is victorious in one championship match, but he is someone who successfully defends that championship against all-comers. To be a successful champion, one must become dominant, and must do anything in their power to show their dominance. Tonight, inside the most hellacious match ever designed, ten men will walk in to decide who is most dominant, and who is truly worthy of being called a champion. Tonight, dominance will be solidified;
Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence for PS2 presents... Night of Champions XI
The crowd was brought to life with a very loud pyrotechnic display as "Sick" by the band Sevenwiser was blasted out of the arena's PA system. The cameras zoomed throughout the arena, catching several multi-coloured signs from fans pledging their allegiance to their respective favourite wrestler. Randy Orton's music then began.
Randy Orton looked dressed to impress with the World Championship under his jacket coat, becoming more visible as he walked down the ramp. Even the fans down in Puerto Rico weren't too keen on the 'Legend Killer', sounding out a chorus of boos as Orton posed with his arms spread, standing on the second rope. Orton still wore a smile on his face as he was handed a microphone by the ring announcer.
"Thank you ladies and gentlemen, especially the ladies in the audience, because I know you appreciate the 'Legend Killer', atleast that's the impression I got when you were all screaming my name in ecstasy. Now I'm not one to blow my horn, the real reason I came here was to make a huge announcement concerning tonight's main-event Wargames match. Last night, it hit me that as the Champion, I have certain privileges, one of them being able to pull myself out of danger's path. So I scouted around the back and found someone more deserving of his opportunity. Tonight, in this very ring, Shelton Benjamin will be taking my place inside of Wargames!"
The crowd did not like what they were hearing, and let Orton know that by throwing garbage at him. Another person who didn't like Orton's announcement was the man who will face him at CyberSlam, Samoa Joe. To the crowd's pleasure, Joe climbed over the guard rail and rolled into the ring with a steel chair, but failed to get Orton who had quickly jumped out of the ring. Joe picked up the microphone Orton dropped.
"You can run, but you can't hide, because on August 16th, your ass is mine!"
Joe threw the microphone down the ground in anger, but with those few choice words he had the crowd pumped up and ready for the rest of the evening. Orton, thinking that he had just gained the upperhand moments earlier, was once again looking like he was the underdog. Orton grabbed his World Championship and went backstage.

In the Team Canada locker room, Booby Roode and Eric Young both had their feet up as Trish Stratus turned the room upside down looking for something. Trish almost began pulling her hair out as she asked both men if they had seen the tape. Young and Roode then shot out of their seats and asked if she was joking, but their worst nightmare had become reality, because she had really misplaced the tape. Trish told them not to worry because it couldn't be far. She then told them not to let anyone else know about this and to keep looking, because it had to be in the room somewhere.
Six-Man Tag Team Contest
Dudley Boyz vs. The Hooliganz and Balls Mahoney
* Surprised by a face from their past, the Dudleys had to leave the ring for a moment to prepare themselves for Balls Mahoney. Balls stood alongside the Hooliganz with his personalised chair, ready to swing it at anything or anyone that moved. The match soon began with London taking Spike down with an arm drag, but when he ran the ropes, Bubba pulled him down by his hair, and then acted innocent for the referee.
* The Dudleys soon took control of the match, isolating Spanky in their corner as both London and Mahoney were desperate to make the hot tag. Bubba held Spanky by his foot, but Spanky used his free leg to flip through and catch Bubba with an calf kick to the temple, allowing him to tag in Balls. Balls cleared the ring with clotheslines, then served as a springboard for London to fly over the ropes onto the Dudleys.
* As the match broke down, all six men were in the ring and as London attempted a missile dropkick from the top, D-Von moved from his way and London caught the referee. This actually worked in their favour as Balls went straight for the chair and dented it around the head of Bubba Ray. After his trademark jabs, Balls lifted London in the air for a Moonsault on Bubba to which the referee slowly but surely counted.
Winners: The Hooliganz and Balls Mahoney

Within a crowded locker room, Randy Orton stood on a chair and thanked his team for coming together for this very important match. When Orton stepped down from the chair he was pulled to one side by Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho. Kurt said that he and Chris were happy to walk into this match and represent his team, but next week they would be calling in their favours. Orton said that he didn't understand what they meant but Jericho promised that next week he would understand very clearly.
GWA Junior Grand Prix Championship
Champion, Jamie Noble vs. AJ Styles
* Before the match got officially underway, the Patriot's Pride winner, Jushin Liger and his new confidant KENTA made their way down to the ring and joined the announce team even thought they never said a word throughout the match. Noble tried to start the match by striking Styles with the belt, but AJ ducked through and dropped Noble to the canvas with a standing dropkick. Styles then followed up with an elbow drop.
* Styles mounted the second rope but missed with a dropkick allowing Noble to come back with a stiff kick across his back, followed by a running dropkick to the face. Noble tied Styles upside down in the tree of woe in the corner and attempted a baseball slide into his face, but Styles pulled himself up leaving Noble to split himself using the ringpost. Styles then hit a German Suplex, rolling through into a face buster.
* Styles then climbed to the top and attempted a Spiral Tap, but Noble rolled out of the way and as Styles hit the canvas, Noble rolled him up for a long two-count. Noble then set Styles up for the Tiger Bomb, but Styles flipped through to land on his feet and then caught Noble with a reverse thrust kick. Styles pulled Noble up by his feet into the Styles Clash position and hit the move to get the three count for the victory.
Winner, and NEW Junior Grand Prix Champion: AJ Styles
Aftermath:
Every person in the crowd jumped to their feet in appreciation of a great match and to celebrate the fact that AJ Styles had reclaimed the title he thought was always rightfully his. Jushin Liger and KENTA then left the announce position and walked back up the ramp without making eye contact with Styles who continued to celebrate with the belt.

Shawn Michaels took some time out to speak to Mean Gene about the attack that he suffered last week at the hands of the returning Christian. Shawn said that he heard what Christian had to say about the attack not being personal, but he added that he took every attack as a personal attack, so he was going to go down to the ring next week and call Christian out to settle the score... personally!
Battle of the Sexes
"Canadian Princess" Trish Stratus vs. "Canadian Destroyer" Petey Williams
* Trish Stratus had a smile on her face big enough for the both of them, as Petey wasn't doing much smiling at all. He looked around the arena for help, but it seemed that he was going to have to do the ultimate job and lay down to Trish Stratus. Trish screamed at him to hurry up, but he wasn't in a rush and slowly got down to his knees. Petey then began to lay down as familiar music played out in the arena.
* Traci Brooks had returned, and she had the tape in her hands. Trish couldn't believe what she was seeing. Bobby Roode and Eric Young walked up to her to get it back but before they could, Traci began to pull the tape out and stomped on the case. Trish stood wided-eyed and shocked, which gave Petey the opportunity to roll Trish up from behind, and when he did so, the referee counted the three giving him the victory.
Winner: "Canadian Destroyer" Petey Williams
Aftermath:
At ringside, Petey Williams and Traci Brooks embraced as this was the first time that they had been together in several weeks. As they continued to hug, Trish Stratus sat in the ring watching with fury in her eyes. Bobby Roode and Eric Young joined her in the ring to see if she was okay, but she didn't want them near her, she just wanted to be on her own to stare a hole straight through Petey Williams and Traci Brooks.

Once again, Randy Orton's team was assembled backstage and were ready to leave for the ring when they were stopped by Steve Austin who had one last thing to say to them. Steve begged them, that if they did only one thing tonight, let it be to focus on Chris Benoit. Steve said that he would be very upset if he saw Chris Benoit walking out of the cage. Steve wanted to watch the Crippler be cripped inside of Wargames!
Wargames II
Team Randy Orton vs. Team Samoa Joe
* Chris Benoit was the unlucky one to draw the first entrance into the match and he was drawn against the monster, Abyss who completely dominated him, throwing him hard into the cage walls. Abyss scooped Benoit onto his shoulder and rammed his head into the steel, busting open the Wolverine. If things weren't bad enough, the next man into the match was Kurt Angle who went straight to work on Benoit's ankle.
* With Benoit being double-teamed and almost taken out of the match, when Colt Cabana made his entrance to the match he could only even the sides for so long until the numbers game worked against him too. From out of nowhere, Benoit got his second wind and with blood covering his face, he launched Angle into two German Suplexes until Abyss caught him with a clubbing forearm across his neck.
* Booker T was next out and assisted his team-mates by isolating Cabana in the corner of the ring with chops and uppercuts. Booker attempted an irish-whip but Colt countered and sent Booker into the opposite corner, following with a clothesline. Jim Mitchell threw a steel chair for Abyss to use, but Benoit ducked and Angle's head was dented by the chair, and Benoit took Abyss down with a German Suplex.
* Mysterio then joined the action but he was attacked by Chris Jericho before he could make it to the cage. Jericho kept Mysterio by the entrance way until his time elapsed and he could officially enter the match. Jericho whipped Mysterio into the cage wall and then entered the match only to be knocked down by a clothesline from Benoit. RVD was fourth man out for his team and he aided Mysterio up and into the match.
* Still groggy from his attack outside of the ring, Mysterio was easy prey for Kurt who attempted an Angle Slam, only for it to be countered with a Tornado DDT followed by a Frogsplash from the top by RVD. As Rob posed for the fans, Abyss grabbed his ponytail and threw him into the cage. Shelton Benjamin completed team Orton and was joined by the team captain himself who was glad be out of the action.
* Orton cheered on his team from ringside until Joe's music hit which saw Orton clear the area to almost hide behind the announcers. Joe entered the cage and with no nonsense, began to clear the chaos. He threw Angle to one side, Jericho to another and was only momentarily stopped by Abyss with a chair, but Joe turned around to launched Abyss with a Belly-to-Belly throw that awed the live crowd.
* Benoit dropkicked Booker T into the ropes where he was open for a 619 from Rey Mysterio. Samoa Joe climbed to the top for a Senton, but Benjamin caught him with a chop across the chest. Shelton set Joe up for a Superplex, but Joe fought back with jabs into the ribs. Joe then turned the move into an Island Driver, which he dropped from the second rope. Joe covered Benjamin to claimed the three-count victory.
Winner: Team Samoa Joe
Aftermath:
Samoa Joe ejected Randy Orton's replacement from the ring and then locked eyes on his real target, the man himself, Randy Orton. As Orton stood in the middle of the ramp, his team just walked past him and didn't give him a moment of their time. Orton turned to ask them where they were going, but Angle and Jericho were the only ones to walk back to him, but all they did was point at the title over his shoulder. Orton then turned back to the ring, but Samoa Joe was standing right in his face which caused Orton to jump back and then run away in fear as Joe smiled to end Shockwave.
