Tag Team Contest
Generation Next vs. Spanky and Paul London
* After some impressive breakdancing from Jack Evans, he challenged Spanky to try himself. Spanky then began to do the robot dance, and as soon as his back was turned, Evans kicked him in the ass, sending him back to his corner. Spanky turned and ran towards Evans who side-stepped. Spanky ran into Strong and took him off of the apron with a forearm smash. Evans then rolled Spanky up for a two.
* Evans whipped Spanky into the ropes and ducked down for a back body drop, but Spanky rolled over Jack's back and made the hot tag to Paul London. London ran in and clotheslined Evans to the canvas, and took Strong off his feet with a standing dropkick. Spanky tagged back in and straight away got Sliced Bread #2 on Evans, but as the referee counted for two, Strong struck Spanky with a steel chair.
Winners by Disqualification: Spanky and Paul London
Aftermath:
As they did before, Evans and Strong went under the ring for a couple of tables. As Generation Next slid back into the ring, the bombs dropped and the Tag Champs hit the ring. Evans and Strong tried to escape but the Dudleyz caught them. Bubba Ray set up the table in the centre of the ring as D-Von whipped Evans into the ropes, but before the 3D could go down, Strong pulled Evans to safety. As they retreated to the top of the stage, the Dudleyz watched on from opposite turnbuckles.
Backstage:
Petey Williams was sitting in his locker room speaking to someone on his cell phone when Trish Stratus, Bobby Roode and Eric Young snuck in behind him. He continued his conversation until Trish took the phone out of his hand and hung up on whoever was on the other line. Petey turned to see who had taken the phone, and when he saw all three Team Canada members, he stepped back and looked ready to fight.
"Calm down Petey, we come here in peace. I just came from Steve Austin's office and he gave me some very interesting news concerning you and me. Apparently we're going to be getting rough with eachother, and getting hot and bothered together. You're skin on my skin, locked together in.. battle. Because at Night of Champions, it's going to be you and your new love interest Traci against me and Bobby Roode! And if your performance there is as good as it was when you were.. let's just say when you were on my good side, well, we won't have much competition, will we?"
Trish kissed Petey on the cheek and put his phone back in his pocket. She then licked his ear and then laughed as she made her exit alongside Roode and Young.
Backstage:
Abyss was sighted frantically searching for Jim Mitchell who hasn't been seen since being abducted by Kane last week. As Abyss raged through the corridors, people were quick to get out of his way as he didn't look to be in the mood to talk.
Final Four Tournament Semi-Final
Christopher Daniels w/ The Oracle vs. Rey Mysterio
* Rey Mysterio had the right to feel very cautious about the match with both Austin Aries and Allison Danger walking around the ring as the match got started. Rey managed to take Daniels down to the ground after the initial tie-up, but Daniels sat out of the waist lock and got to the ropes. Daniels then ducked under the lock-up and hit Rey with a couple of right fists, and then knocked him down with a clothesline.
* Daniels took Mysterio and threw him over the top. However, Rey grabbed the top rope and land on the apron where he launched himself with an Moonsault, taking Danger and Aries out. Daniels stormed towards Rey who tripped him, landing him on the ropes. Rey tried for the 619 but Daniels ducked. Daniels rolled Rey up, and as he grabbed the tights, Aries held onto Daniels to help him get the pin.
Winner: Christopher Daniels
Backstage:
The crowd cheered as the scene opened up with Shawn Michaels standing, awaiting to be interviewed by Mean Gene. Gene asked Shawn how important it was to him to be involved in the Final Four Tournament, and asked him his thoughts on facing Kurt Angle next week for one of the places in the Final Four match itself.
"Well Mean Gene, for someone like me, the Final Four Tournament is a great opportunity because it gives me the chance to cannon myself right into the World Title picture. To me, the World Heavyweight Championship here in the GWA is the most important title that someone can hold when they enter this business, and so to have my name engraved across the front would be a dream come true. As for Angle."
Speaking of which, Kurt Angle entered the scene and stood to listen to what Shawn had to say about him. Shawn paused, but Kurt waved him on.
"As for Angle, well, what can I say about Kurt that hasn't already been said before? He's an outstanding athlete, one of, if not the best in the business today, so it's a great honour to be able to step between those ropes to face a man like Kurt."
Kurt smiled and applauded Shawn's words, but took the microphone from him.
"Nice save there Shawn. Good thing I showed up when I did because you may have said something that I would have made you regret. I won't lie to you Shawn, this belt means more to me than anyone here. I've held it, but had it taken away from me straight away. I'm addicted Shawn, and I need my fix, and when I beat you next week, I'll be one step closer to getting what I want, and what I deserve! Oh, it's true!"
Angle handed the microphone back to Mean Gene who hyped up the match as behind him, Angle and Michaels stepped a little closer, getting in eachother's face.
Backstage:
Christian was still celebrating his victory over Chris Jericho last week, and gloating to anyone who he passed. He looked so happy to be in the Semi-Finals of the Final Four Tournament until he met the man that he will face in that round, Samoa Joe. Suddenly his confidence dissappeared and his face became pale. Joe gave Christian a pat on the shoulder and then walked away, and as he did, Christian turned to the camera..
"I can take him.. err.. yeah, I can take him!"
Singles Contest
Shelton Benjamin w/ Paul Heyman vs. Chris Sabin
* Shelton Benjamin didn't look to be taking Chris Sabin very serious, which could have been a mistake. Shelton went for a lock-up but Sabin ducked under and rolled Shelton up for a quick two count. Shelton rolled back up to his feet and tried for a clothesline, but again Sabin ducked through and rolled Shelton up. Frustration quickly set in and Shelton made a quick exit from the ring to talk strategy with Heyman.
* Sabin catapulted himself over the top rope but changed his mind mid-air and landed on the apron. However, Shelton had his scouted and pulled his legs away from him, slamming his head onto the apron. Getting confident again, Shelton went to the top rope for a clothesline attempt, however Sabin collapsed, leaving Shelton to miss. Sabin again quickly rolled Benjamin up and this time just got the three.
Winner: Chris Sabin
Aftermath:
Benjamin's face told everyone that he didn't exactly expect to be counting the lights in this exchange. Chris Sabin couldn't have looked happier and even extended his hand to shake Shelton Benjamin's in a show of good faith. However, from behind, Paul Heyman struck him across the head with one of the largest cell phones known to man. Sabin grabbed the back of his head and walked straight into Benjamin who hit a T-Bone Suplex. Both then looked over Sabin, shaking their head in disapproval.
Backstage:
Inside the America's White Trash locker room, Jamie Noble was apologising to both AJ Styles and Miss Ronnie Stephens for what he did last week. JGP Champion, AJ Styles vs. Jimmy Yang
* In a rematch from three weeks ago, AJ Styles started as the aggressor with a running clothesline taking Yang off of his feet and a dropkick sending him out of the ring. Taka got up onto the apron, but Styles knocked him off quickly with a roundhouse kick. As he returned to the ring, Yang took Styles down with a release German Suplex, but Styles kipped back up and caught Yang in the headscissor takedown.
* Feeling the pressure, Taka once again got up onto the apron but this time he was taken down by Ronnie Stephens and hit with a Shining Wizard. Styles pulled Yang up for the Styles Clash, but Yang pulled himself up and roll over Styles' shoulder for a roll-up, but Styles rolled through himself and dropkicked Yang in the face. Styles then came off from the top with his Spiral Tap and covered Yang for the three.

Both Jamie Noble and Ronnie Stephens climbed into the ring to congratulate AJ Styles on an impressive title defense. The three held their arms up together as a sign of unity, but then Noble turned on Styles, knocking him head over heels with a vicious clothesline. Ronnie was scared stiff and couldn't move and inch during the entire attack. As Styles was trying to work out what had just happened, Noble had collected the Junior Grand Prix Championship from ringside and hit Styles over the head with it. Noble threw the belt on Styles' chest and walked away, dragging Ronnie with him.
Backstage:
Chris Benoit was doing some final preparations for his big match, when Chris Jericho walked up from behind him and put his arm over his shoulder. Benoit stopped his exercises and sat down, looking across as Jericho who had a huge grin on his face.
"Normally Chris, after what you did to me last week, I'd be pissed off, but not tonight, because I'm a firm believer in karma. You know, just call me Earl. Do good things, and good things will happen to you, so on that merit, you better kiss that title goodbye. Last week you screwed me out of my title shot, and now because the world has to right itself, it'll take away your title. No need to fight it Chris, it's fate. So I'll be sitting back here with a bag of popcorn and a soda enjoying the proceedings. Good luck, kid!"
Jericho got up from his seat and left the room with Chris Benoit watching him every step. Once the door had shut behind Jericho, Benoit looked back at where his title was, and he picked it up, looked at it, kissed it, and left the locker room with it.
Backstage:
Back to Abyss who had finally found Jim Mitchell, but he was tied up and sitting on a chair in the middle of the arena entrance. Abyss quickly ran over to him but he was cut off by Kane who appeared out of nowhere. Kane and Abyss brawled all over the halls until Abyss managed to get the upperhand and actually threw him through a wall, exposing the women's locker room. Abyss quickly grabbed Mitchell and fled, leaving Kane laying in the destruction. Suddenly Kane sat up, brushed himself off and walked out of the women's locker room as if nothing had happened.

World Champion, Chris Benoit vs. Randy Orton
* The crowd had a harm time deciding who to root for as the two competitors circled eachother like two caged lions ready to do battle. Finally the crowd went crazy as they locked up for the first time. They battled over the hold but eventually with no winner, both men let go and we were once again at stalemate. A second time they locked up and this time Benoit got the advantage and took Orton down to the mat.
* With Benoit with a side headlock applied, Randy began to pull himself back up from the mat and dug in a couple of elbows to Benoit's ribs. Benoit then ran the ropes as Orton jumped back to his feet and took Benoit over with an arm-drag. This time Benoit battled back and countered with a Northern Lights Suplex.
* Orton looked to end things early with an RKO, but Benoit pushed Orton into the ropes and wrapped his arms around Orton's waist. Benoit then launched into his triple German Suplexes, releasing on the last one. The crowd were full behind him as he performed the cut-throat signal and climbed to the top, but as he flew out for the Swandive Headbutt, Orton rolled out of the way, and Benoit ate canvas.

Orton this time countered with a school boy roll-up but Benoit kicked out. Benoit rolled back up to his feet and went for a clothesline, but Orton ducked through and finally struck gold with the RKO! A groggy Orton slowly turned Benoit over and hooked the leg to get the three count.
