Opening:

"Some believe that on this night, all that is evil comes out to play. It is on this night that the embodiment of that spirit will act as judge, jury, and executioner to all who step inside this structure designed by Satan himself. And it is on this night that the personification of that belief will challenge a man who has already been pushed to his very limits. The sun will set for the final time, and hell will be unleashed upon this Earth. May God have mercy on their souls..."

The Sims 2 for PC presents.. Night of Champions VIII

Cameras zoomed around an excited crowd who were pumped up and crammed in up to the rafters for this special event. The camera then zoomed in on the Hell in a Cell that would hold the night's main-event, "Raven's Dog Pen" for the Heavyweight Championship of the World. Pyros completed an amazing opening, but was cut off by the music of Los Mexicanos..

Junior Grand Prix Championship
Champion, Rey Mysterio vs. ???

The Build:

When Rey Mysterio was almost set alight by Raven, Los Mexicanos lost all respect in their fellow hispanic superstar, saying that he was full of empty promises because he was the one who said that he would take it to Raven. Initially, Mysterio wasn't bothered by the attention from Los Mexicanos, but things got personal when they viciously attacked him backstage. Mysterio tried to get some revenge the following week when he took on Juventud Guerrera, but mid-way through the match, Super Crazy pulled Mysterio from the ring and handed him a DQ victory. Once again, the three members ambushed Mysterio and left him with more than just his ego bruised. This time, Crazy held the Cruiserweight Title as poetic imagery. Los Mexicanos made it clear to everyone that they desired Cruiserweight gold, but assured us that any member of the team could defeat Mysterio in their sleep, and so, they gave him a choice. He was able to decide his opponent, but he turned that down and gave the choice back to Guerrera, Crazy and Aguila. They held their cards close to their chest, and told Rey that he wouldn't find out his eventual opponent until the last possible moment.

The Match:

  • Rey Mysterio turned to all directions as Juvenud, Mr. Aguila and Super Crazy surrounded the ring, but eventually Super Crazy slid into the ring and took Mysterio's legs away from him. The bell rang to signal the start of the match, and Super Crazy dragged Mysterio to the corner and wrapped his knee around the turnbuckle. Crazy attempted to do that once again, but Mysterio pulled him into the turnbuckle, smashing his head against the steel post.

  • Aguila jumped up onto the apron, but was knocked off by a Mysterio punch. Juventud was next up, but he was also knocked down with a running dropkick. Mysterio then turned back into the ring and was sent head over heels by a huge clothesline from Super Crazy. Crazy then jumped up to the second rope and went for a Moonsault, but Mysterio rolled out of the way, and when Crazy hit the canvas, Mysterio rolled him up for the three count victory.

Winner, and still JGP Champion: Rey Mysterio

    Backstage:

Raven sat within the depths of the arena, and had some words for the World Champion, Chris Benoit; "Last week, Steve Austin had some wise words to say to you Chris Benoit. Everything is one big game of cards. You must bet everything you have if you want to walk away with a huge amount of profit, and if you're victorious in this game, you will be the wealthiest man alive, not finacially, but emotionally and spiritually, and those are the most important qualities. I have something, or should I say someone that you want, and this is how you can get him back. You claim that you are the most technically sound wrestler on the planet, and you say that the Crippler Crossface is the most efficient submission hold in wrestling, and so it's about time the tables were turned, and you must prove yourself to me. Tonight, if you can make me tap-out, I will not only deliver your son, but I will leave the GWA forever. Quote the Raven.. Nevermore!"

    Backstage:

Team Canada members Trish Stratus, Petey Williams, Eric Young and the returned Bobby Roode walked into the office of Steve Austin and recieved a standing ovation. Steve said that what they did last week was outstanding, and now the advantage has to be with them. Steve said that if Team Canada could take the titles away from Spanky and London, he would be free to fire them, and finally be rid of Stacy Keibler. And if that were to happen, Steve said that he would make life very easy for each and every member of Team Canada.

    Global Tag Team Championships
Champions, Spanky and Paul London vs. Team Canada
    Guest Referee: Stacy Keibler

    The Build:

Ever since Spanky and Paul London hired Stacy Keibler to be their manager, Steve Austin had made it his life's quest to strip them of the Tag Team Championships. He claimed that it would be bad business to fire them as Champions, and so once they were no longer Champions, he could fire them and get rid of Keibler in the process. Trish Stratus has also had a problem with Keibler ever since he return, because she was the one who cost Team Canada their initial title shot back at CyberSlam. In a match between the two, Stacy Keibler actually managed to defeat Trish Stratus, earning the ring to referee this match. With the advantage clearly in the Champions favour, Team Canada re-hired Bobby Roode as their muscle, and he single handidly destroyed the Champions, powerbombing Paul London through the announce table.

    The Match:

  • Williams began the match focusing on London's taped up ribs, damaged from last week's attack by Bobby Roode. Petey whipped London into the ropes, and then dug in his knee to the ribs, sending him down to the canvas. Petey trapped London in an arm bar and tagged in Young who jumped from the top rope and caught London with a clothesline. Young rushed London across the ring and pushed him into the air, but London countered and dropkicked Young.

  • Young tagged in Williams, but the hot tag was also made to Spanky who stormed into the ring and took care of both members of Team Canada. The crowd was so hot as Spanky looked to finish the match with Sliced Bread #2, but then Stacy Keibler surprisingly kicked Spanky between the legs. Petey Williams then grabbed Spanky who was on his knees, and hit him with an amazing Canadian Destroyer. Once covered, Keibler counted Spanky's shoulders down.

Winners, and new Tag Team Champions: Team Canada

    Aftermath:

Everyone inside the arena, including the members of Team Canada were shocked at what had just happened. Stacy Keibler looked down at Spanky with a sick smirk as Team Canada slowly slid out of the ring and celebrated with their newly won Championship belts. Paul London walked up to Stacy and asked her why she had done that, but she just slapped him across the face and left the ring, leaving him alone to check on Spanky who began to regain consciousness.

    Backstage:

The GWA North American Champion, Christopher Daniels stood with the increased Oracle, with Sean O'Haire, Ausin Aries and Allison Danger. Daniels then gave a speech which he said was the Gospel according to the Fallen Angel. "Shawn Michaels, just as I expected, you follow the path that I saw before you, as you tried to turn the tables on me, when in reality, all the fingers and arrows of blame point straight at you. You want to call me a hypocrite? Look in the mirror Shawn. Sexy boy? Heart Break Kid? You may have been these things in the ninties, but now, you're nothing but a stepping stone, and an afterthought once the Fallen Angel has passed you by. Alongside Sean O'Haire, 'The Prophet' Austin Aries, and Allison Danger, I am the future of this business, and by the looks of it, the business is in very safe hands!"

    Inside the Arena:

The music of 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair began playing, but instead of seeing Ric Flair, the crowd witnessed as Randy Orton slowly walked out from the entrance, clutching a walker and playing up to the fact that Ric Flair was mature in his age. Once Randy got to the ring, he threw the walker to one side and climbed into the ring with a microphone in hand. Randy said that he just did something that people have been wanting to say for years, and that is that Ric Flair was passed his prime, and deserved to be in an old folks home. Last week, he said, his car was attacked by an emotional old man, and instead of disgracing the legend of Ric Flair, he would end it in the middle of the ring with the Figure Four Leglock.. next week!

    Backstage:

Mean Gene spoke with CM Punk who said that something had happened that he had always feared, because Chris Sabin hasn't arrived at the building. Punk said that he would open his heart to Sabin and extend his offer to next week's show. CM Punk then ended the interview and began to leave the arena, when suddenly a car came to a screeching halt infront of him and Chris Sabin jumped out of the driver's side door. Sabin jumped on CM Punk and connected with several rights before security split them apart. Sabin broke away from his guards and got in a couple more shots, but then the security dragged the two away in seperate directions.

    GWA North American Championship
Champion, Christopher Daniels vs. Shawn Michaels

    The Build:

Christopher Daniels set out on his quest to rid the world of sinners and false prophets, and his first victim was Shawn Michaels. He thought that when Shawn claimed to be a born again Christian, he was simply using that as a way to get back into the hearts of fans, because in his mind he had lost his step, and passed his prime. At Night of Champions 7, Daniels ued the title belt to defeat Shawn Michaels, and now Shawn wants revenge and his belt back.

    The Match:

  • Daniels got in the face of Shawn Michaels, showing him the belt, but that all worked against him as Shawn shot ouf of his corner with a burst of energy, and sent Daniels out of the ring with a clothesline over the top rope. Daniels stood himself up with the guard rail, but Shawn kicked him into it with a baseball slide, and then he jumped over the top rope and landed on Daniels with a cross body. Michaels then sent Daniels into the steel steps with a hard irish whip.

  • Back in the ring, Shawn Michaels dropped Daniels to the canvas with a high back body drop, and then began to tune up the band. Michaels stepped out of the corner with the kick, but Daniels managed to catch his foot, spin him around and hit the Angel's Wings. Daniels covered Michaels but somehow Michaels managed to kick out at two. Daniels tried the move again, but Michaels blocked the move and kicked Danie's head off with Sweet Chin Music.

  • Shawn dragged himself over Daniels and the referee counted to two when Daniels lifted his shoulder off of the canvas. Michaels climbed up to the top rope and came off with an Elbow Drop attempt, but Daniels rolled out of the way and kicked Michaels with his own Super Kick! Daniels walked over to the corner, jumped up to the middle rope, then onto the top rope and performed the Best Moonsault Ever on Michaels to get the victory to retain the title!

Winner, and still North American Champion: Christopher Daniels

    Aftermath:

The entire Oracle joined Daniels in celebration and posed with the North American title belt. Still catching his breath from his match, Daniels reached for a microphone and proclaimed that after his victory, the future had arrived, and that was the "Gospel according to the Fallen Angel!"

    Backstage:

After last week's Cage Match defeat, Christian spoke to Kurt Angle about what he planned to do to Rob Van Dam and Colt Cabana. Kurt told Christian not to worry, because he has just got back from Austin's office, and next week they would all be in a Tag Team match. Kurt said that if Rob Van Dam wants to pretend to be a star, and if Colt Cabana wants to pretend to be a talk show host, then they're the two guys who will prove them wrong next week on Shockwave!

    Backstage:

Samoa Joe said that he had only been with the company for two weeks, and already he had been embrassed. In his first match, he defeated the World Champion, and then he was stuck in a match against Funaki. Joe said that he wasn't going to wait for his opportunity, and that he was going to take matters into his own hands. Watch this space..!

    Raven's Dog Pen Match
    World Heavyweight Championship

    Champion, Chris Benoit vs. Raven

    The Build:

After being away from GWA television for near three months, Raven returned and offered his protection to Chris Benoit, saying that he wanted to be his Guardian Angel, protecting him from anyone who wanted to stand in his way to become World Heavyweight Champion. Week after week, Chris turned Raven down, but Raven kept coming back saying that Benoit needed his help. Once Chris Benoit defeated Chris Jericho at CyberSlam, Raven changed his tune and his true colours came out, viciously attacking Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio, who are both good friends of Chris Benoit. Raven said that he offered his protection, but now that he had been turned away and cast aside by Benoit, he would need protecting more now than ever, and that was because Raven was now coming after him.

Raven now had Chris Benoit's attention, and after winning a mini-tournament to become Number One Contender, he was next in line for Chris Benoit's title. Raven claimed that he would take away the one thing that Benoit held closest to his heart, and everyone thought that he meant the title, but a few weeks ago, we found out otherwise. Raven attended the school of Benoit's son, and kidnapped him in broad daylight. Now, if Benoit wants to see his son again, he must make Raven tap-out inside of Raven's Dog Pen!

    The Match:

  • Once the cell had been lowered, the referee began to attach the chain to Benoit's dog collar. Once it was on, Raven pulled Benoit down to the canvas and began to stomp down across his spine. Raven then wrapped the chain around his wrist and connected with several hard shots across his forehead, cutting him open early on in the match. Raven then threw Benoit over the top rope and used the chain to choke him, but the referee eventually managed to free him.

  • Raven then attached the chain to his dog collar, and left the ring after Benoit. Raven wrapped the steel chain around Benoit's neck and again tried to choke him out, but this time Benoit dropped to his knees and hit a jaw breaker, sending Raven down to the ground. Benoit now was in control, and used the chain to pull Raven into the turnbuckle, cutting him open. Raven took some chain and began to swing it at Benoit, but Benoit grabbed a steel chair and leveled Raven.

  • After whipping him across the back with the chain, Benoit rammed Raven's face into the cell wall, and then rolled him back into the ring. Raven tried to defend himself, but with so much blood in his eyes, he could hardly see Benoit. Benoit then took Raven down to the mat with the Crossface, and pulled back hard. The crowd screamed at Raven to tap, but he wouldn't. He reached for the ropes, but eventually passed out and the referee called for the bell.

Winner, and still World Champion: Chris Benoit

    Aftermath:

Benoit removed the chain from his neck and celebrated with the title belt, thinking that the rivalry was finally over. He then realised that he had failed to make Raven tap out, and now he wouldn't learn where his son was. Benoit dropped the title and walked back over to the unconcious Raven and desperately tried to wake him up. Benoit slapped Raven across the face and screamed at him, saying "Tell me you bastard!", but Raven never answered. Fade to black!
